Why Finals Season is the Best At Illinois

Why Finals Season is the Best At Illinois It is the end of the semester here at Illinois and that means one thing: finals. Finals is almost a bad word to a typical university student, but what if I told you finals season is the best at Illinois. Courtesy of Giphy.com The best thing about finals week is the amount of free time students have. Let us not forget that there is no more homework, too! Sure, you will have plenty of time to study and ace those exams, but theres plenty of things to do when you need a little study break. Spring semester here in Champaign-Urbana means the weather is going to be absolutely beautiful, usually a cool 70 or so degrees that is perfect hanging out on the Main Quad weather. My friends and I went out today and tossed the frisbee around to destress from finals. We also head out to the Main Quad as an excuse to see the adorable puppies that like to roam around with their student owners. Courtesy of the University of Illinois Office of Admissions I also love seeing movies and students here at the university are lucky to have two huge movie theaters, one in Champaign and the other in Savoy right outside campus that play all the new movies. My two friends and I went out last night after a long day of studying and saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which I highly recommend everyone see! Finals do not have to be a time where you study 24 hours a day. Students are humans here at the Illinois, and its completely normal, okay, and encouraged to use your free time and take many study breaks. I want to enjoy all of what Illinois has to offer as the four years here go by really quick, and I will be away from this amazing place for three months during the summer! Daniel Class of 2018 I’m an Advertising major in the College of Media. I’m from a northwest suburb of Chicago called Buffalo Grove. I chose Illinois because it was the first university in the entire world to offer an Advertising major, which is pretty cool!
